Matcha Branding Concept
Niponáhuatl is matcha made to move you. Each blend comes in a bold color with its own unique vibe and health benefits. Green helps you focus, orange gives you some confident energy, and others help you wind down or lift your mood.
I was inspired by the growing trend of colorful matcha, but wanted to center wellness—something I care about for my future. The branding brings in a fun, vibrant Mexican style that reflects where I’m headed and who I am
Niponáhuatl
1. "Nipon"
This is a stylized form of Nihon (日本), which means "Japan" in Japanese. "Nippon" is another formal pronunciation — both refer to Japan itself. Using Nipon gives it a soft, elegant twist that still clearly evokes Japan and its deep tea culture.
2. "náhuatl"
This refers to the Nahuatl language, the ancient and still-spoken Indigenous language of central Mexico (especially among the Mexica/Aztecs and related cultures). It's the source of many Mexican words like chocolate, mezcal, and even Mexico itself (from Mēxihco).
